We had a wonderful talk on the 9th of January 2025 from Richard Winston,
both interesting and Informative.
Richard's interest in wildlife photography began as an aid to bird watching.
He wanted something to refer to in identifying birds he had seen. Rapidly
the quality of the photographs became paramount, resulting in an
investment in better photographic equipment and a desire to share his
pictures with others. During the past fifteen years or so, and particularly
since retiring from his teaching job, Richard says he has been lucky
enough to visit many countries and to enjoy not just the local birds, but
other wildlife too. A couple of years ago he passed the WI speakers’
Audition (a daunting task!) and has been giving talks on Wildlife
Photography ever since to a wide range of organisations. There is a SHOP
on his website where he offers his mounted photos for sale. Please follow
this link if you would like to take a look at some of the photos he very
kindly displayed in his presentation.
